Born and raised in the beautiful city of Seattle, Washington, I developed a love for fishing, gardening, and exploring life’s possibilities from an early age. In 1994, my life took a bold turn when my ex-husband and I sold everything we owned to pursue a dream in one of the most remote and breathtaking places on Earth—Port Protection, Alaska. Together, we built a full-service fishing lodge from the ground up. This journey was more than just an adventure; it was a lesson in resilience, determination, and the beauty of following your heart, no matter how daunting the path.
Turning Life into Words
Throughout my time in Alaska, I kept a journal, capturing every triumph, challenge, and quiet moment of reflection. Journaling became my sanctuary—a way to process emotions, celebrate victories, and document memories. These journals laid the foundation for Fulfilling Dreams and my other writing projects, transforming raw life experiences into stories that inspire and connect with readers worldwide.
Strength Through Adversity
Life hasn’t always been easy. In the midst of building a business and navigating life’s many twists and turns, I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis—a challenge that changed my perspective on strength and perseverance. While difficult, these moments taught me invaluable lessons about adapting, staying hopeful, and finding joy even in the smallest moments. These experiences have deeply influenced my writing, and I hope my stories resonate with readers facing their own challenges.
